Enough is enough. I had all I could take of this. I went down and dirty and built a stand in tool to do it for me. Pretty simple actually, I did not think In an hour I have a solution.
The get info way of doing thing stinks, cause you can only open one such file with one and only one app. and double clicking seems to have problems with .rev files, currently. Also had a mess of a time getting a revlet file to load into safari as 32 bit. I clicked the box in get info and nothing.
After failure over and over. I started reading system logs, witch showed safari reverting back to 64 bit. Which is a problem. Why would it do this?
So the answer is a simple drag in drop app. Witch looks like if I can make one for rev I could make one for all files and all apps in 10.6+ Yup drag in files select the app. and push process will open them where they should open. Got to love shell scripts. Opening revlet/html files with safari opens them in safari and switches safari to 32 bit @ the same time. Adding to my rev resources page on our site as full intel only standalone.
There always an answer to a problem. It is always fun figuring out how to fix the problem and making the solution. It like playing with puzzle.
